Trailhead:
Take Highway 24 West out of Colorado Springs. Turn left on the West end of Manitou Springs at the Cave of the Winds stoplight. The road will go steeply downhill to a switchback. On the outside of the switch back is a parking area. This is the trailhead.

Summary:
The trail follows the old highway road bed to the NW of the parking lot. Follow it to reach the creek, then parallel the right side of the creek up to the falls that are hidden back behind a bridge you will walk beneath. The area is covered in graffiti, but these forgotten falls still bring some beauty to the area.

The very appropriate sign near the beginning of the trail.

The trail gets narrow as it follows the creek. The further you go the more graffiti you'll see.

some of the graffiti is really quite impressive, though I'm sure this one has been covered by something else by now.

Through it all the falls are still amazing.

Any other waterfall like this around the springs would be extremely crowded.
